The oldest living Jazz Record Label in the great state of Texas – that’s Fable Records. In 1973 Mike Mordecai began his journey into the record industry by jumping in with both feet. Nothing any different from a thousand other entrepreneurs except that Mike was determined to build his label for Austin Jazz.  Hailed by Billboard Magazine as the turning point for contemporary jazz in Austin’s early stages, Mike continues that mission today adding some of Austin’s finest up and coming jazz artists to the catalog.
