September 2, 2012 Javier Chaparro and Salúd will make a return to Kerrville after they’re well received performance at the Kerrville Folk Festival in June. The Kerrville Wine and Music Festival will welcome them to the stage at 9:30pm on Sunday evening.
As some of you may know, our good friend and bandmate Mitch Watkins is now out on the road with Leonard Cohen. Stepping into his place in Salúd is Russell Scanlon, an amazing guitarist who brings a wonderful style and sound having been with projects like “Tamasha Africana”, “Suzanna Sharpe and the Samba Police” and Fable’s own “John Mills Times Ten.”
Javier is off camping and writing some new tunes. When he returns the band will be back in action at;
Z’Tejas 6pm – 9:30pm Sunday, Aug. 26
Kerrville Wine and Music Festival – 9:30pm Sunday, Sep. 2
Susanna’s Kitchen, Wimberley United Methodist – 7:30pm Thursday, Sep 20
Z’Tejas 6pm – 9:30pm Sunday, Sep. 30
Z’Tejas 6pm – 9:30pm Sunday, Oct. 14 (with Mitch Watkins)
We hope to see all of you at one or all of these wonderful venues!
